💡 Tips for Sharing Wi-Fi Safely
Guest network onlyNever publish the password of the internal office network. Set up a separate guest network on your router or firewall that is isolated from computers and servers.
Rotate the passwordEveryone who scanned the code keeps the password. Change the guest network password from time to time and print a new sign.
Strong passwordWith WPA2/WPA3 the password must be 8 to 63 characters. A long password is no problem - nobody needs to type it.
Forgot the password?On a Windows PC connected to the network you can display it with this command (CMD), replacing NAME with the network name: netsh wlan show profile name="NAME" key=clear
Device supportThe iPhone camera (iOS 11+) and most Android devices (version 10 and up) recognize Wi-Fi codes directly from the camera.
Durable signPrint on thick paper or laminate it, and place it somewhere visible but out of reach of anyone who might stick a different code over it.
